Introduction

QCare AR, part of the QCare Suite, offers a complete and intuitive solution to anesthesists and anesthesiologic assistants for documenting the peri and post operative anesthetic record. Using a CCOW link, the user is also provided with direct access to the patients medical record.
QCare AR is the only application within the QCare Suite, that continues working, even when network or server are going down during the operation.
This software has been developed for use with touch screens; input can also be done using traditional IO devices. 

Pre anaesthetic visit

The interventions that have been planned using QCare OR provide a work list for all pre operative visits that have to be made.. Using pre defined forms, the user is guided throughout the questionnaires that have to be filled out.

Peri operative regsitration

QCare AR offers users the capability to predefine intervetion specific overviews, containing views on vital signs and parameters, medication and events. The anaesthetic record is then being filled out by confirming the occurence of drug administration and events. Results can be collected automatically using the QCare RS232 concentrator. 
All information that was filled out in QCare OR or in during pre anaesthetic visit can be accessd during the operation.

Even though QCare AR does not need to be connected continuously to the central server, the user can access data from all other ongoing operations.

Open Hart Operation

QCare AR is specially equipped for documenting OHO's. In these cases, anesthetist and perfusionnist collaborate on the same session, each of them having its own views on the same data.

Post operative information

QCare AR generates a report in which appear all details about results, events, drug administration, operation stages and eventual complications. This report is available on line to all entitled QCare Suite users and can be exported to external software solutions such as the general medical record.
The post operative anaesthetic orders are sent to the PACU or the ICU for further follow-up.
QCare AR also exports its information to QCare OR, thus sharing timestamps and consumption details for medication and materials.
