Introduction

The QCare RS232 concentrator has been developed for the automatic capturing of data provided by medical devices, equipped with an RS232 output. The QCare RS232 Concentrator is a component to be plugged into the ethernet network, after which the information received is sent to a central server application which interprets, stores and distributes the data to software applications.
The device is compatible with the QCare Suite Products, but can also deliver its information to third party products over ODBC.

Technical Data

The QCare RS232 Concentrator has 8 ports. If more ports are needed, several concentrators can be combined. A concentrator can also be shared over several beds, provided that the maximal cable length is not exceeded.

The Concentrator conforms to the following regulations:

• IEC 60601-1:1988 + A1:1991-11 + A2:1995-03 + corrigendum 1995-06 tot A2: 1995-03
• IEC 60601-1-2:2001-09

Medical Devices

The QCare RS232 Concentrator is independent from the brands or types of devices connected: devices are recognised automatically. After a connection time of maximum 1 minute, the information is being interpreted..

The following devices have already been connected by C3. This list also contains links made using a gateway. The latter are folowed by a '*'. The list grows constantly: new devices are linked in a period of maximum 6 weeks.
